Crypto Payment Guide
How to pay for your challenge using cryptocurrency via NOWPayments, including supported coins, networks, and troubleshooting.
What It Means
Albatrix Funded accepts cryptocurrency payments processed through NOWPayments, a non-custodial payment gateway. You pay using your own crypto wallet, and the payment goes directly to the firm's wallet. Supported cryptocurrencies include USDT (TRC20 and BEP20), BTC, ETH, and LTC. No credit cards, bank transfers, or PayPal are accepted.
Crypto payments are the standard for prop firms because they are fast, borderless, and irreversible — which protects both the buyer and the firm from chargebacks and fraud.
Why Crypto Only?
The prop firm industry has moved toward crypto payments for several reasons:
- No chargebacks: Crypto payments are irreversible. Once confirmed on the blockchain, the transaction cannot be reversed, eliminating fraud risk.
- Global access: Crypto works in every country regardless of banking restrictions. Traders from regions with limited payment options can still participate.
- Fast settlement: Most crypto payments confirm within minutes, compared to days for bank transfers.
- Privacy: Crypto payments do not require sharing sensitive banking information.
- Lower fees: Network fees for USDT on TRC20 or BEP20 are typically under $1, much lower than international wire transfers.
Supported Coins and Networks

Step-by-Step Payment Process
Select Crypto at Checkout
Choose your account size and apply any promo code. At checkout, select 'Crypto Payment'.
Choose Your Coin
Select USDT (TRC20/BEP20), BTC, ETH, or LTC. USDT TRC20 is recommended for its speed and stable value.
Review Payment Details
You will see the exact amount to send and the receiving wallet address. The amount is fixed in USD and converted to crypto at the current rate.
Send from Your Wallet
Open your crypto wallet (e.g., MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Binance, Coinbase). Send the exact amount to the provided address. Double-check the network (e.g., TRC20 vs BEP20).
Wait for Confirmation
The payment is tracked on-chain. You will see a confirmation screen when the transaction has sufficient network confirmations.
Account Created
Once payment is confirmed, your challenge account is created. You receive credentials via email.
Important: Network Mismatches
The most common crypto payment error is sending on the wrong network. If the payment request specifiesUSDT on TRC20 (TRON), you must send using the TRC20 network from your wallet. If you send USDT on ERC20 (Ethereum) to a TRC20 address, the funds will be lost. Always verify the network before confirming the transaction.
Critical: Verify the Network
Where to Get Crypto
If you do not already have cryptocurrency, you can acquire it from:
- Centralized exchanges: Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bybit, OKX — buy crypto with fiat currency and withdraw to your personal wallet.
- Peer-to-peer platforms: Binance P2P, Paxful — buy directly from other people using bank transfers, mobile money, or cash.
- Crypto wallets: MetaMask (ETH/BEP20), Trust Wallet (multi-chain), Exodus (multi-chain) — these are software wallets you control.
If you are using an exchange, withdraw the crypto to your personal wallet before sending the payment. Do not send directly from the exchange if the exchange requires extra verification steps that could delay the transaction.
Price Stability During Payment
The crypto amount shown at checkout is locked for a limited time (typically 15-30 minutes). If you take too long to send the payment, the exchange rate may change and you will need to refresh the payment details. This is most relevant for volatile coins like BTC and ETH. USDT is pegged to $1 and does not fluctuate.
Allowed Examples
You select a $10K challenge, apply promo code NEW2026 (40% off), and the total is $47.40. You choose USDT TRC20 and send 47.40 USDT from your Trust Wallet. The payment confirms in 3 minutes.
Correct use of USDT TRC20 with the correct amount, network, and wallet. Fast and efficient.
You do not have USDT, so you pay with LTC instead. The checkout shows 0.45 LTC due. You send 0.45 LTC from your exchange wallet. It confirms in 8 minutes.
LTC is a good alternative. The payment went through on the correct network with no issues.
Violation Examples
You attempt to pay with USDT but send it on ERC20 network when the payment requested TRC20. The funds arrive at the address but on the wrong network and are not credited.
Network mismatch — the most common crypto payment error. The funds are effectively lost. NOWPayments cannot credit your account because they cannot access funds on the wrong network.
You send $50 worth of BTC when the invoice was for $47.40. You expect the overpayment to be credited to your account.
Overpayment may not be automatically refunded. Always send the exact amount shown on the invoice to avoid complications.
Common Mistakes
- Sending crypto on the wrong network (e.g., ERC20 instead of TRC20) — this is the most expensive mistake and usually results in permanent fund loss.
- Sending from an exchange without first checking if the exchange supports the required network.
- Not copying the exact payment address — always copy-paste, never type it manually.
- Taking too long to send and the rate expires, requiring a new invoice with a different crypto amount.
- Using a credit card to buy crypto, withdrawing, and sending — the combined fees can be 5-10% of the total.
- Forgetting to account for network fees when funding your wallet — if you need to send $50 in USDT, make sure you have $51-52 to cover both the payment and the network fee.
